Woman Robbed At Gunpoint In Hanover

Police are looking for two suspects after a woman was robbed at gunpoint in Hanover.

The Hanover Police Service says on Thursday around 2pm, a 42-year-old woman was walking in the 500-block of 9th Ave. when she was approach by a man who reportedly pointed a handgun at her and demanded cash.

The woman complied and was not injured.

The thief then made his escape in a black van with a dent on the driver's side door.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6' tall, unshaven, with a medium build, short dark brown hair, and stained teeth. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, dark sunglasses and a black baseball cap.

Another person was seen driving the van, but police do not have a description of that suspect.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
