Hit and Run Collision Injures Chesley Jogger

A jogger in Chesley was treated for minor injuries after being hit by a car.

The male jogger was heading north on the sidewalk on 1st Avenue South in Chesley just after 5:00 Friday evening. As he crossed 6th Street southeast, a silver four-door Pontiac turned onto 6th Street and knocked him to the ground.

The vehicle continued east bound on 6th Street without stopping. The man was treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Police would like to speak with the driver of the silver Pontiac.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
