Last Chance to Register for Central Huron's Blooming Contest

Today is the last day to enter Central Huron's Communities in Bloom Central Huron Blooming Contest.

C-A-O Peggy Van Mierlo explains awards will be handed out for Best Bloom in Urban Residence, Best Bloom in Rural Residence and Best Bloom in Commercial Property.

The judging will be done throughout the week.

Van Mierlo says the judges will be looking diversity of displays, plant design, hard-scaping like stones, structures, water features, maintenance and design of the property.

She adds people can nominate themselves or a friend or neighbour by emailing their entries to cib@centralhuron.com or bring their entries into the municipal office in Clinton by the end of the day today.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
