Crashes Blocking Roads In Wellington And Bruce

Emergency crews are dealing with a couple of late afternoon crashes.

One of them is on Wellington Rd. 123 east of Palmerston. Details are scarce at this point but the crash is described as serious by OPP and it has closed Wellington Rd. 123 between Line 92 and Teviotdale.

The other crash is in Bruce County where emergency crews were called out to Bruce Rd. 3 and Bruce Rd. 17 near Burgoyne. That crash reported just before 4pm and not further details are available at this point.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
