Careless Charges in Perth South Crash

A 27 year old London man faces a charge of careless driving after a two vehicle collision in Perth South Saturday afternoon

Police say a motorhome was travelling east on Perth Line 20 when a Honda sedan hit the trailer at Perth Road 130.

The impact caused extensive damage to the trailer, and the Honda.

The 63 year old Waterloo man operating the motorhome was not hurt.

Police say the collision was a completely avoidable crash. The north and southbound traffic on Perth Road 130 is controlled by stop signs while Perth Line 20 is the through roadway.

Rumble strips are grooved into the pavement on Perth Road 130, alerting drivers of an approaching intersection.

Police say motorists need to take stopping and yielding at intersections seriously to decrease the number of fatal and serious collisions.
