Avon Maitland Board Looks to Partner With London's King's College

The Avon Maitland District School Board is looking at developing a partnership with King's College at Western University in London that would help international students bridge the gap between secondary school and university.

Avon Maitland Education Director Ted Doherty explains King's College shares the Avon Maitland Board's interest in attracting international students.

It was felt there was some potential in working together to attract international students and adding to their experience once they're here.

Doherty suggested interrnational students in Avon Maitland schools could see King's College as a destination after that, or even attend orientation days or sit in on college classes while they're still attending secondary school.

Discussions are still in the very early stages but Doherty feels there are opportunities for the two to work together.
