Speeding Formosa Youth Faces Racing Charge

A teenager from Formosa is learning a tough lesson about speeding on county road.

Just before 7:00 yesterday morning, an OPP officer locked his radar on a Lincoln sedan travelling at a high rate of speed on the Howick-Turnberry Road. The vehicle was clocked at 144 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

The 19-year-old male, who was a novice class driver, was charged with Racing a Motor Vehicle.

His licence was suspended on the spot for seven days, and the car was impounded for a week. He also has a court appearance to make in August in Goderich.
