$5,000 Worth Of Copper Wire Stolen From Telus Cell Tower Near Vanastra

Huron OPP are investigating after $5,000 worth of copper wire was stolen from a Telus cell tower site located east of Vanastra.

Police say sometime over the past two weeks, someone forced their way into the cell tower site (located on Sanctuary Line).

Officials say once the thieves gained access to the cell town site, they cut off several eight-foot lengths of grounding wire.

In total, 50 feet of six gauge copper wire was taken from the scene.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Huron OPP.
