Delays for New Public Washroom in Bayfield

A public washroom on Clan Gregor Square in Bayfield has been delayed for a year.

Bluewater Mayor Tyler Hessel says it will be a single family washroom, with storage space for the Farmer's Market as well as for the municipality.

The cost estimate at this time is 75-thousand dollars and they have a 45-thousand dollar grant from the Trillium Foundaiton. The Lions Club and Optimists have each pledged 15 thousand dollars that will be paid as the project moves along. There is still discussion about the exact location for the building, and the two service clubs have suggested another architect be consulted.

Hessel is optimistic it will be ready for the summer of 2016.
