High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A public washroom on Clan Gregor Square in Bayfield has been delayed for a year.
Bluewater Mayor Tyler Hessel says it will be a single family washroom, with storage space for the Farmer's Market as well as for the municipality.
The cost estimate at this time is 75-thousand dollars and they have a 45-thousand dollar grant from the Trillium Foundaiton. The Lions Club and Optimists have each pledged 15 thousand dollars that will be paid as the project moves along.
There is still discussion about the exact location for the building, and the two service clubs have suggested another architect be consulted.
Hessel is optimistic it will be ready for the summer of 2016.
