Hanover Police Charge Victim of Alleged Gunpoint Robbery With Mischief

Hanover Police have charged a woman they allege lied about being robbed at gunpoint back in June.

The 42-year-old claimed she was walking in the 500-block of 9th Ave when she approach by a man who pointed a handgun at her and demanded cash on June 19.

Police say investigators believe the story was fabricated.

She faces one count of public mischief.

The accused is set to appear in Walkerton court on July 27.
