Bayfield Could Get New Playground Equipment

The playground on Clan Gregor Square in Bayfield is going to get some new equipment.

Bluewater Mayor Tyler Hessel explains the Bayfield Optimists learned of a Hydro One grant for playground equipment and felt it presented an opportunity for Bayfield to replace some of the current equipment on the square.

Some of that equipment is getting old and geared to younger children and it was felt some playground equipment for older children would be appropriate.

Hessel also points out the timeline for the application for the grant was very tight so it was submitted on behalf of Bluewater before actually coming to council for approval.

Council still doesn't know if the application has been successful. If it is, the Bayfield Optimists would match the funding.
