Goderich Council Reviews Tax Breaks For Heritage Homes

Goderich council has deferred a motion regarding tax breaks on heritage homes until they get more information.

C-A-O Larry McCabe explains the heritage designation has been applied to more homes in the core area of the town.

The concern of council is how the definition of heritage is being applied. McCabe points out all of the homes have a roof but are there any specific characteristics that makes the roof a heritage roof.

McCabe suggests council needs a clearer definition of heritage before they approve the motion.
