OPP Marine Rescuers Find Lake Huron Kayakers

Two kayakers who had to be rescued from Lake Huron are now facing charges under the Canada Shipping Act.

The South Bruce OPP Marine Unit answered a distress call from two men operating Kayaks in Lake Huron.

The call came in about 6:50am morning on Saturday as heavy fog was settling in.

The marine unit searched for and located two men who were brought to the harbour and assessed by Bruce County Paramedics.

Both men were charged for not wearing a life jacket.
