Grey Bruce Health Yet To Post Water Quality Advisory In 2015

It's so far been a good summer for water quality along the Lake Huron and Georgian Bay shorelines according to the Grey Bruce Health Unit.

Not one beach has had to be posted with a water quality advisory by the GBHU in 2015.

Public health manager Andrew Barton says it's because there haven't been fierce storms that cause water quality issues.

"Typically this year good results. It's been less stormy so we've had less heavy rains, a little bit of wave action we've had quite a bit of wind but it's been generally pretty good," says Barton.

He adds the Health Unit along with beach goers and tourism operators hope water quality remains good for the rest of the summer.

This comes after the Huron County Health Unit posted a no-swim advisory at Rotary Beach in Goderich on Thursday.
