High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Fans of classic and antique cars are in for a treat this morning (Thursday) in Arthur.
Members of the Antique Classic Car Club of Canada - Brampton Region will be at the Arthur Community Centre, as part of their Butter Tart Trail tour of Wellington County.
Over 50 vehicles will arrive at the Arthur Community Centre at around 10:15am, and will be parked there on display until 11:30am.
Wellington North Fire Services will escort the vehicles out of Arthur shortly after 11:30am, taking Domville St., Clark St., Smith St., up George St. and left onto County Rd. 109.
