UPDATE: Fire In Blyth

A fire in a historic building in Blyth started in a wood stove but there is more damage from the smoke than the actual fire.

A neighbour in the Dinsley St. area, in the northeast section of the town, noticed smoke coming from the building which houses a bed and breakfast. The Fire Department of North Huron was notified and firefighters from both Blyth and Wingham stations were called in along with a pumper from Central Huron to assist.

No injuries are being reported and there are is no damage estimate at this time.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
