Kelso Beach Currently Unsafe For Bathing

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is declaring Kelso Beach in Owen Sound unsafe for bathing.

Sampling from Tuesday showed bacteria levels that exceed Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Standards.

The Medical Officer of Health advises bathers that high levels of bacteria in the water may pose a risk to their health.

Signs will be posted to warn beach goers that the water is not safe for swimmers due to the level of bacteria.
