LHIN Promoting Good Health And Prevention

Health care costs continue to rise as our population ages, but the discussion around controlling those costs has to include promoting good health and preventing illness or injury.

Michael Barrett, CEO for the South West LHIN, points out the greater the investment in promotion and prevention, the better the chance of treating a person successfully when they do require medical attention.

Barrett adds public health units and organizations like local CCAC's do a great job of that, and good health leading up to treatment translates into better outcomes as well as better quality of life for the patient.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
