Environment Canada Confirms Third Tornado Sunday

Environment Canada now says three tornadoes were spawned in last Sunday's severe weather in southern Ontario.

An EF-2 tornado is confirmed in Lebanon, southeast of Listowel. Winds up to 220 km/h tilted grain silos and took off the top 30 ft of one, a barn roof was removed and a sailboat was lifted into a line of trees.

EF-2 and EF-1 tornadoes had previously been confirmed in Teviotdale and Marsville in the Orangeville area, causing significant damage.

The national weather agency also reported Friday that damage in the Lucknow area was caused by straight line winds from a downburst. As many as 150 mature trees were knocked down, a riding stable destroyed and some large vehicles damaged.
