OPP Charge Roadside Campers in Grey Highlands

Four Toronto-area residents picked a different kind of spot to have a drink and barbeque on the weekend.

It was about 3:30 Saturday morning when a Grey County OPP officer observed two females and two males camped out and cooking next to the road on Grey Road 9 near Grey Road 63 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The four individuals, ranging in age from 21 to 27 were also drinking alcohol.

They were all issued Provincial Offence Notices for having liquor in open container other than in a licenced premise, residence or private place under the Liquor Licence Act (LLA).

The group left the area in their vehicle after one of the females passed a roadside breath test.
