The community of Brucefield is under a boil water advisory. Huron East Public Works Manager Barry Mills says about 100 residents are affected by the precautionary advisory. He says maintenance is underway on a well pump, and the precaution is always taken when the system is being repaired. Residents should boil water for drinking, brushing your teeth and cooking. The precaution will remain in place until at least the weekend, as two water samples must pass testing first. Residents are also asked to conserve water during the repairs.
