Hensall Heritage Hall Renovations Over Budget

Bluewater Mayor Tyler Hessel says council is committed to finishing the Hensall Heritage Hall renovation but admits it's going to be a challenge.

The project is about $219,000 over budget.

Hessel says there's about $36,000 in the Community Improvement Program reserve from last year that would be available.

Hessel adds they're also looking at a Legacy grant that might cover half of the over-run and they would then have to raise another $70,000 to $80,000.

Hessel explains the Hensall community group looking after the project had already pledged to raise about $40,000 so he's hoping council can work with them to double that fund-raising effort.
