Tourism Strong In Huron County

The president of the Huron Tourism Association says with the summer more than half over, the 2015 season has been a very good one.

Kim Burgsma credits part of the success along the West Coast for the fact that, while the beach has always been a great attraction, it's not the only attraction.

Burgsma says Huron has a number of cultural, culinary, recreational activities like biking, hiking and boating as well as great theatre that attract thousands of visitors every year.

She adds most of their visitors come from London or the Kitchener area but she's also very happy with the number of visitors they're getting from Toronto.

She believes the County's presence at he Canada Blooms show in Toronto has been instrumental in introducing the West Coast to Toronto residents.
