Wellington North November By-Election By Mail

Wellington North is going to try a mail-in vote for its municipal by-election this fall.

The by-election is necessary due to the recent resignation of Ward 3 councillor Mark Goetz.

Council has unanimously endorsed the mail-in vote.

Wellington North CAO Michael Givens says the company handling the vote will provide a more up-to-date voters list than is normally available for the traditional paper ballot.

Candidates for Ward 3 have until October 2 to file their nomination papers. The election will be held November 16.
