High Ecoli Counts At Most Huron County Beaches This Week

Testing this week showed ecoli levels over provincial standards at all Huron County beaches checked, except for Bayfield, which is just under the acceptable level of 100.

However, a tweet from Huron County Health Unit says only Goderich Rotary Cove Beach is closed, with an ecoli count of 618.

The ecoli counts at other beaches range from 114 to 461.

The risk of illness increases when swimming in water with E. coli levels above 100.
