SGBAR Reports Strong July Sales

Home sales in the southern Georgian Bay area remain strong, despite a slight decrease in Meaford, Blue Mountains and Collingwood areas last month.

Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Association of Realtors sold 373 properties last month.  That’s a decline of almost 3% from the association’s all-time record, but it’s still the second-best July on their records.

Communications Manager Patricia West also reports the value of all residential transactions in July was over $103-million.  That's up 2.5 per cent from a year ago.

The western district of the Southern Georgian Bay Association of Realtors takes in seven municipalities including Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, The Blue Mountains, Grey Highlands and Meaford.

The eastern district includes Midland, Penetang, Honey Harbour, Port McNicholl and Elmvale. Home sales in that area were up two per cent from July 2014.
