Huron County Changes Some Coyote Hunting Rules

Huron County has changed some of the regulations regarding the hunting of coyotes that have attacked livestock.

Clerk Susan Cronin says the changes involve the time limit for hunting the coyotes and the range in which they can be hunted.

The range has been doubled from a five kilometre radius of the kill to a 10-kilometre radius and the coyote can now be hunted for six weeks instead of four.

Cronin adds the compensation remains the same at $100.
