Wanted Man Arrested In Brussels

A Palmerston man wanted on a number of charges including flight from police and breach of probation was arrested in Brussels today.

33-year old Daniel Yorke was arrested shortly before 3 p.m. at a home in the Huron East community. Several cruisers had blocked off Turnberry St. at Flora St. at the south end of the town earlier this afternoon. Police say Yorke was taken into custody without incident.

On Friday, Perth County OPP were investigating after an officer spotted a stolen truck that drove south out of Listowel. It was eventually found abandoned in a cornfield in the intersection of Line 84 and Perth Rd. 153. At that time the driver had fled on foot.

The Western Region OPP Emergency Response Team and OPP Canine Unit were called in at that time but did not find the suspect.
