UPDATE: Road Closure East Of Palmerston

One man suffered life threatning injuries in a crash east of Palmerston today.

Police say three vehicles were involved at the intersection of Wellington County Rd. 8 and Wellington County Rd. 9 in Mapleton Township. Police haven't released the ages or names of those involved in the crash but do say the male driver of a car was the one that suffered life threatening injuries. There was a tractor trailer involved and the driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the third vehicle was not hurt.

Members from the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team are on scene and the intersection is expected to remain closed for several more hours. Motorists are asked to find alternate routes around the closed intersection.

Wellington Rd. 8 and 9 are on the boundary of Perth County and are also known as Perth Rd. 140 and Perth Ln. 91.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
