Gateway Centre For Rural Health Fundraiser

The Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health is hosting a Health & Wealth Trail walk and run later this month.

Summer Research Assistant Julia Huber explains Gateway is partnering with Edward Jones Investments to demonstrate the connection between physical health and financial health. Huber points out research has shown that people who are financially healthy also tend to enjoy better physical health. She adds there will be a lunch after the run or walk and then an information booth will be set by Gateway to discuss physical health and by Rural Response for Health Children to talk about financial literacy.

The walk/run will be held on St. Christopher's Beach in Goderich starting at 9 a.m. August 29 and there will be three distances, a 2 km, 5 km and a 10 km event.

Proceeds will go to the Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health and Rural Response for Healthy Children.
