Man Charged In Daylight Owen Sound KFC Robbery

A 32-year-old man is facing numerous charges after the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Owen Sound was robbed Wednesday afternoon.

Owen Sound police officials say a male entered the KFC will his face hidden at around 12:45pm.

After demanding and obtaining cash from the cashier, the man fled the scene heading north, where he assaulted an officer who tried to arrest him.

The suspect was later arrested in the 1300-block of 3rd Ave. E without incident.

The officer who was assaulted did not require medical attention.

Dustin Bolan of no fixed address has been charged with robbery, using a disguise during the commission of an offence, assaulting a peace officer, escape lawful custody, and possession of methamphetamine.

He is set to attend a bail hearing on August 27.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
