Hanover Man Charged With Breaching Terms Of His Release

A Hanover man has a court appearance today on charges of breaching the terms of his recognizance.

On Monday, the Hanover Police Service was doing a compliance check on the occupant of a residence on 11th Ave. in the Town of Hanover.

While there, police observed the suspect was using an electronic device, which he was prohibited from doing after being charged with numerous sexual, drug trafficking and firearms related offences by the Ontario Provincial Police last year and earlier this year.

Tuesday, the man was arrested, and also found to be in possession of a second electronic device while on conditions not to be.

Hanover police have charged 53-year-old John Stone with two counts of breaching a court issued recognizance.
