Air Ambulance Transports Elmwood Construction Worker

A 28-year-old Elmwood construction worker was transported by air ambulance from a workplace accident scene in Elmira.

The man fell from a crane platform behind Elmira Pet Products on Martins Lane yesterday.

The man was employed by Canadian Crane Rentals and was assisting with the construction of an addition to the plant.

The man was taken to a Hamilton hospital with a head injury.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
