Chi-Cheemaun Cruise To Benefit Owen Sound Fire Victims

The Owen Sound Fire Victims Fund and the United Way Bruce Grey will benefit from the Chi-Cheemaun 2015 Fall Cruise

The Owen Sound Transportation Company has announced that a percentage of cruise ticket sales will go towards the fund. Some of the proceeds will support the continuing needs of Owen Sound residents who lost their homes and their belongings to fire.

Multiple fires were deliberately set in the St. Mary's Hill area early in the morning of August 10.

15 families were left homeless in the arson spree. Three people are facing charges in connection with the incidents.

The Chi-Cheemaun will voyage down Georgian Bay from Tobermory to Owen Sound on October 19 to dock for the winter.

People can call 800-265-3163 to reserve tickets.
