Murdered Nurse Investigation Five Years Old

Investigators have followed up on over 1,000 tips as they continue to hunt for clues in the murder of an Orangeville nurse.

Sonia Varaschin, 42, was reported missing August 30 of 2010 when she didn't show up for work. On September 5, 2010 her remains were found just east of the Town of Caledon in an wooded area.

For the past five years, detectives from both the Orangeville Police Service and the OPP have kept the investigation open.

A $50,000 reward is still in place for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Sonia Varaschin.
