Hanover Gets A New Police Chief

The Hanover Police Services Board has selected a new chief of police.

Christopher Knoll will fill the roll starting on September 21.

Knoll is a lifelong resident of the area and brings 24 years of police experience to the position, which includes the past five years as inspector with the Hanover Police Service.

Knoll has served as acting chief since the retirement of Chief Tracy David in February.

An official swearing in ceremony will be held at the Hanover Civic Centre on September 21.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
