A severe thunderstorm watch has also ended in midwestern Ontario.
The national weather service issued the warning as several scattered thunderstorms moved across the region, producing some heavy rain and winds.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
The annual Canada Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, from Wildwood Park to Kenwick Park.
