AMDSB French Immersion Expansion Report Later This Month

Trustees with the Avon Maitland District School Board will receive a staff report later this month on the potential for expanding a French Immersion program.

Director Ted Doherty explains they had a presentation in June from a Goderich-based group that wanted French Immersion available in Huron County. It's only available in Stratford at this time.

Doherty says trustees asked staff to prepare a report that would look at the history of French language instruction within the Avon Maitland Board catchment area, and what could be done in the future.

The report will be presented at the board's next meeting on September 22.
