Perth, Huron Health Units Ask For Consultant Funding

The chair of the Huron County Board of Health says talks regarding a merger with the Perth Board are moving ahead.

Tyler Hessel says the Perth Board will be finalizing their terms of reference in the coming week and both committees have asked their medical officers of health to approach the ministry regarding funding for a consultant to work with them going forward.

Hessel explains the goal is to make sure that there economic benefits from a merger while at the same time continuing to provide the same service that both Huron and Perth residents have come to expect.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
