Libraries In Huron And Perth Team Up With Schools

All elementary and secondary students in Huron and Perth will have an opportunity to carry their own library card.

Huron's Director of Cultural Services Meighan Wark says the Avon Maitland District School Board has teamed up with all of the library branches in the two counties.

Wark says the result will be every student will have access to all of the resources in the libraries.

"What we're hoping is that it will result in a higher level of engagement with the libraries by the students. And in general, just, decreasing the barriers to accessing library resources for these students," says Wark.

Wark adds that will include all of the on-line services that are available 24-7.
