Three Injured In Line 86 Crash East Of Listowel

Three North Perth residents were taken to hospital, one with major injuries, after a head-on crash closed a section of Perth Line 86 early last evening east of Listowel.

Shortly after 6pm., Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to the crash scene on Perth Line 86 near Perth Rd. 147.

Investigation revealed that a westbound car on Perth Line 86 crossed the centre line, and entered into the path of an eastbound SUV and the vehicles hit head-on.

The driver of the eastbound car and driver of the westbound SUV were both treated for minor injuries.

A 60-year-old female passenger in SUV was transferred from the local hospital to a London Hospital for treatment of her major injuries.

The 24-year-old car driver has been charged with careless driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
