Financial Support Continues For Women's House Serving Bruce And Grey

Kincardine's Women's Housing Serving Bruce and Grey is getting generous community and corporate support.

The Women's House has received two significant donations.

Meridian Credit Union presented a cheque for $3,240 from pledges collected through the 'Walk A Mile in Her Shoes' event.  Meridian matched the money collected from the local team that took part in the walk.

Bruce Telecom also presented a cheque to the Women's House for $1,200. Bruce Telecom employees had an 80's theme day at work on September 15 and collected donations.

Both Bruce Telecom and Meridian are corporate sponsors of the Women's House Fall Gala, being held at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine on October 17.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
