Sweetwater Festival In Owen Sound

Classical music and jazz lovers are in for a treat this weekend in Owen Sound and the area.

The 12th annual Sweetwater Music Festival is on.

Internationally recognized musicians along with local performers will put on concerts tonight, Saturday and Sunday.

Festival manager Terry Burns says the Sweetwater Festival gets bigger and better every year.

"I like to think of it as Grey County's wonderful little secret. I think more people should know about it and more people should be coming to it. The music is spectacular," says Burns.

The Sweetwater Music Festival opens this evening with a concert at the historic Leith Church near Owen Sound.

Saturday is full of events with most happening at Georgian Shores United Church.

Sunday's highlight is a performance in the afternoon of Bach's B Minor Mass, also at Georgian Shores Church.
