Addictions Recovery Breakfast Shares Successes

Choices for Change: Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Counselling Centre is hosting its annual Addiction Recovery Celebration Breakfast this Friday at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Goderich.

Executive Director Catherine Hardman explains the breakfast is an opportunity for people who have recovered from addiction to tell their story and celebrate overcoming addiction.

But she points out it's also an opportunity to show people who are dealing with addiction that recovery is possible, that help is available and that it does work.

Hardman adds treatment doesn't always work immediately but if a person has made the decision to beat their addiction there are people ready to help them do it.

The Breakfast is being held from 7:30 to 9:30 Friday morning, September 25th at the Knox Presbyterian Church on Victoria Street in Goderich.

The Recovery Celebration Breakfast is part of the Provincial recognition of Recovery Month and similar breakfasts are being held throughout the Province.
