Local Girls Win At Western Fair Rise 2 Fame Talent Search

Two dancers from a Lucknow studio were winners at London's Western Fair Rise 2 Fame Youth Talent Search.

15 -year-old Taylor Pollard of Ripley competed in the youth division aged 13 to 21, and won for performing her Acro Solo "Surviving".

Emily Plumsteel of Clinton won in the under 12 Junior division.

Plumsteel won for her Acro Solo, routine, "Everybody wants to be a Cat."

They both qualified in June at Clinton Fair.

The dancers competed against singers, bands, other dancers, contortionists, and variety acts.

The winners will perform at a variety of events throughout the year, and will be showcased at next year's final performance.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
