WOAA Honours Wayne Martin At Annual General Meeting

The WOAA held their 71st annual general meeting last night and presented several awards.

Wayne Martin from Palmerston was nominated by Minto Minor Ball for the Honour Award.

In nominating Martin, the organization says he was "instrumental in organizing the amalgamation of Palmerston and Harriston minor hockey systems....which is now known as Minto Minor Hockey."

"More recently Wayne has been a coach mentor helping his son Joel with the Palmerston Stop 23 Squirt boys OASA team and his son Ryan with the Chepstow Lang Farms Bantam U16 boys team that won the 2015 Canadian Softball Championship in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan in August."

The WOAA President's Award was presented to Barry MacDonald from Ripley and the Bursary Award went to Tyler Pauli from Mitchell.
