A man from Woodstock has been arrested in Owen Sound on a charge of robbery.

It's in connection with an incident Wednesday night in the downtown core.

A 24-year-old man reported to police that he had been punched in the face, knocked down, and threatened with further assault if he did not give his assailant $10.  The victim turned over the money and the much larger man left the area on foot.

Following an investigation, and after getting a description of the assailant, 29-year-old Kyle Wheeler was arrested Thursday.

He's charged with one count of robbery and one count of fail to comply with conditions of his probation order.  He is to appear in Owen Sound court today to answer to the charges.
