Perth County Women Take Back The Night

Women in Perth County can "Take Back the Night" during an all female march this evening.

The annual walk in the dark is a protest of the many ways violence permeates the lives of women.

The march has been held since 1976 to symbolize the right of all women to feel safe.

Optimism Place Woman's Shelter and Support Services is hosting the event.

There will also be a presentation on women and social media, as well as an open microphone will allow participants to share ideas and opinions.

The March is being held from 7pm-9pm at the Falstaff Family Centre on Waterloo St. N in Stratford.
