Hanover Raceway Awards Presentation Caps 2015 Season

J. Bradley Harris finished the 2015 season at Hanover Raceway with 32 wins to take the award for top percentage driver.

The final race night of the season also saw a number of other awards presented including Claimer of the Year to 11-year-old Chasin Jiffy.

Trotter of the Year went to Holiday Holly owned by Callie Rankin and Laurence Baker of Alberton.

Jen Rankin, who trained Holiday Holly, was the Ray and Lue Leifso Trainer of the Year award winner.

The AB Fleishauer Horse of the Year award went to Preppy Art, owned and trained by Terry Fritz of Walkerton .

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
