Kincardine Hires Consultant for Armow Wind Noise Study

Kincardine Council has selected a consultant to do the field study to prepare a report on noise levels in the Armow Wind Project area.

Swallow Acoustic Consultants of Mississauga specializes in acoustics, noise and vibration control engineering.

The project will include measurements at five residences that are near the Armow Wind Project area.

The instrumentation being used is capable of narrow band frequency acquisition using 1 minute time intervals to average the data.

There will also be concurrent measurements of relative humidity, temperature, wind speed and direction outside the homes collected at one minute intervals and synchronized with the sound and infrasound data.

The consultants will start by selecting the five locations, and then will collect data between October and November.

A final report is expected in December.
